RADIO CODES FOR VOLVOS

[XC90]

Volvo Radio codes

What is a Radio Code?
If your car battery goes dead or you disconnect the battery, you will need to re-enter the code for your
Volvo radio before it will work again. This is a theft protection measure that is built into your Volvo radio.
Important TIP:
If you have the code already, you need to store it in a safe place (NOT in your car). In fact store a copy
in more than one place. If you do not have the code, follow the above tip after you get it from Volvo.

Here is what Volvo says about getting your Radio Code
"As a security measure, proof of ownership has to be provided. This can be in the form of a copy of
your driver's license along with a copy of the vehicle registration document showing you as the current
owner of the vehicle.
Alternatively, if the registration document is not available, a copy of a recent sales invoice showing you
as the purchaser will be sufficient.
You can then take the car and your documents to a Volvo Authorized Dealer and they will be able to
look the code up on their computer system."

NOTE: Most dealers will not charge for this service.
