The ABS lamp comes on when the ignition is turned on for a bulb check, then goes out after the engine starts. If the ABS warning light remains on or comes on while driving, it indicates a fault has occurred in the ABS system.
One or more wheel sensor may just be dirty. Clean them carefully, the sensors are fragile. If the problem happens aft recent work has been done on the brakes, a sensor could have been damaged or the wiring may have been damaged. If that is the cause, the only solution is to replace the sensor. Note: Used sensors are not recommended.
